Hoya carnosa 'Rubra', aka "Krimson Princess", features pink stems and waxy leaves that fold slightly in the middle. The leaves are "reverse variegated," meaning they are white on the inside and green on the edges. Hoyas are epiphytic and thus can be mounted, as well. They will climb anything they can reach, and also put out clusters of flowers periodically throughout the year.Hoya carnosa 'Rubra' CARE:
Bright indirect light. Can adapt to medium light, though blooms will not develop in medium light.
Place in pot with drainage. Allow to dry out all the way down between waterings. When leaves begin to pucker, it’s time to water.
This species will climb if given something to grab onto. To encourage blooms, allow to become slightly root bound.
Once blooms are spent, DO NOT cut off the point they emerge from (called a 'peduncle'), as Hoyas re-bloom from the same peduncle year after year.
